How should glassses fit your face?

A well-fitting pair of glasses should be comfortable, secure, and enhance your facial features. Here are some key points to consider:

  • Nose pads: The nose pads should fit comfortably on your nose without pinching or slipping. They should distribute the weight of the glasses evenly and prevent them from sliding down.

  • Temple length: The temples should be long enough to reach behind your ears without feeling too tight or loose. They should also sit comfortably on the bridge of your nose.

  • Frame shape: The frame shape should complement your face shape. For example, round frames can soften angular faces, while square frames can add definition to round faces.

(Check out the frame formats in the menu on this site)

  • Lens placement: The lenses should be centered on your face and aligned with your eyes. They should not be too high or too low, and there should be a clear field of vision without any distortion.

  • Field of vision: When looking through the lenses, you should have a clear and unobstructed view of your surroundings. There should be no blurriness or distortion at the edges of the lenses.

If your glasses feel uncomfortable, slip down your nose, or distort your vision, it's likely that they don't fit properly. It's important to consult with an optician to get a proper fitting and ensure that your glasses are the right size and shape for your face.
